Responsible for building and supporting the network of academic institutions in a given region in India. We are currently expanding our base to different regions across India and are looking for Consultants in Kolkata,
Consultant’s responsibilities include the following:
Recruiting member institutions in a given city/region which will include:
Developing a strategy for adding and supporting academic institutions in his/her region, in coordination with the overall goals and strategy.
Developing the annual targets, plan and budget for the region in coordination with the team, and integrating the plan into overall annual plan and budget.
Contributing to the overall strategy and outreach plan, including development of materials.
Identifying appropriate potential additional academic institutions for the company, emphasizing that region.
Recruiting new institutions in the region as new members , meeting target numbers in the annual plan.
Supporting the establishment of entrepreneurship development programs on campuses – help member institutions build institutional capabilities using company's support programs. This will include:
Developing and managing relationships with Directors, faculty and student heads at member institution.
Supporting the member institutes in the region, guiding and helping them develop and build their entrepreneurship programs
Helping them to lever the knowledge and expertise in entrepreneurship development across the network, and avail themselves of resources including materials and tools.
In conjunction with the existing team and the members, organizing networking events and activities to catalyze cross-institutional member networking for faculty, students and alumni.
Feeding information back to the product development team regarding the market needs for support and resources.
Helping to catalyze interest in entrepreneurship amongst students on campuses
Enthusing and encouraging students towards entrepreneurship
Working with the faculty and student committee heads to increase the level of student participation in programs
Recruiting individual members from within member institutions.
Developing and executing strategies for recruiting individual members from within the institutions and elsewhere in keeping with the company's annual targets – in particular signing up students, faculty and alumni as members.
Successfully managed complex customer relationships, with several points of contact.
Able to understand and articulate a highly conceptual value proposition
Able to recruit and sell effectively, using creative approaches tailored to individual situations
Successfully handled situations that have required the ability to diagnose (understand problem areas, needs and strengths), strategize, recommend a set of solutions, and support the implementation of the solutions
Successfully launched either a new product or service with experience in target specification, product promotion and events
Developed and executed annual plans and budgets
Able to work with equal ease with individuals at different levels of an organization example - Directors or Deans of academic institutions, Faculty members and Student committee heads.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Technical skills: facile with MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
Maturity and poise that commands respect
Confidence in ones ability with the proactive seeking of new skills and knowledge
Willingness to work hands-on
Able to work to deadlines and targets
Extraverted and high-energy
Work well with small teams
Independent self-starter, able to work with minimal guidance
Passionate about education / working with the younger generation of people
Comfortable with change, able to work in a fast-paced start up environment
